BIOGRAPHY

Assoc.Prof, PhD Nguyen Van Thanh is a member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council (former Deputy Minister of Public Security). As a scientist, he has made many contributions in scientific and technological research works and projects; conducted research, and chaired many scientific topics. Co-chaired many national and international scientific conferences; also prestigious national and international organizations. A lecturer at many prestigious universities in the fields of International Society for the Systems Sciences (ISSS), Global Conference on the Sea (GO5), Integrated Coastal and Oceanic Management (ICOM), Management of Marine Resources and Environment (ICOM), Marine Protected Areas (MPA) Management, Marine Spatial Planning (MSP), Biosphere Reserve Conservation Management (CBr), Urban Transport Planning, Planning, building ecological urban, ECO2 economy, sustainable development, etc. Author of more than 100 articles published in national and international scientific journals.

In July 2019, in Antofagasta City, Chile, he was awarded the Best Practice Model Award by the Energy Smart Communities Initiative (ESCI) of APEC – pillar division on low-carbon urban models with contest work on Construction Practices of Hai Phong to become a green port city.

He has attended and co-chaired many prestigious national and international programs and conferences
– The 19th Global Conference of the World Federation of Systems Science (IFSR) was held in Linz, Austria from April 8-14, 2018, he took part in the introduction of 28 risks to countries all over the world.
