MR. ERIC YEO
Country General Manager
Vietnam, AWS

| BIOGRAPHY

Eric Yeo joined Amazon Web Services at the start of 2019, to lead AWS’ business and operations in Vietnam. A Singaporean by birth, Eric is a globetrotter and global citizen, having worked and lived in various parts of the world including Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand and Australia. He has a strong interest in understanding and respecting cultural differences across Asia and the world, and examines the way it affects our way of living and conducting business from city to city.

Currently the Country General Manager of Amazon Web Services Vietnam, Eric is a customer-obsessed and employee-obsessed leader who is passionate about hiring and developing the best talent in Vietnam and the region. He and his team of hands-on builders are eager to shape the tech landscape of the country, to support our customers, partners and cloud users as they build and grow a local, regional and global business.

Eric loves to engage with our customers from all imaginable business verticals, on topics like Culture of Innovation at Amazon, leaning in to actively weigh in on how IT can influence and impact the organizational structure and design of businesses. Together with SMEs from his team, he works hard to listen to our customers’ pain points, to work backwards on how the right IT strategies could support our customers’ growth and success.

Prior to AWS, Eric has led his teams in multiple executive and leadership roles in Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore and the rest of Southeast Asia, interacting and working with customers across 13 countries as an IT veteran for the past two decades.

Eric is a multilingual builder at AWS, and had his share of entrepreneurial days when he ran his own ship chandelling business and seafood restaurants in Singapore, prior to joining the exciting and dynamic world of IT. Eric holds an Honors degree in Economics from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
