| BIOGRAPHY

Assoc. Prof. Dr. PHAM Hoang-Luong, a senior lecturer of the School of Mechanical Engineering, is currently serving as Director of the Vietnam-Japan International Institute for Science of Technology (VJIIST) at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). Graduating from HUST in 1984, he received Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in energy technology at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT, Thailand) and the National Polytechnique Institute of Toulouse (INPT, France) in 1992 and 1996, respectively. His main scientific interests are energy technologies and policies that include fossil fuels and renewable sources. During 2016-2020, Assoc. Prof. Dr. PHAM Hoang-Luong had been serving as Vice Chairman of the key state science and technology program in research, development, and application of energy technology in Vietnam (KC.05/16-20).
