Camilla Holbech has been working extensively on regulatory and policy issues in the area of green transition of the energy sector both in the private sector and in the Danish Government. She is now serving as the Energy Sector Counsellor at the Danish Embassy, Hanoi supporting the energy sector collaboration between Vietnam and Denmark focusing on sustainable energy

Energy for sustainable development: International experience and recommendations for Vietnam

ABSTRACT

In the process of modernization and industrialization of Vietnam, access to energy is vital. Considerations of security of supply to DRIVE ECONOMIC growth have to go hand in hand with affordability and sustainability.

Vietnam has an important development opportunity in a green transition of the energy system by deploying high volumes of cost competitive renewable energy and DRIVING an Industry 4.0 process that is laying out a more sustainable path for industrialization. A greener energy supply can be an important investment driver for FDI and make Vietnam more attractive for the global supply chain.
