BIOGRAPHY

Dao Xuan Lai (Mr.), Assistant Resident Representative and Head of Climate Change and Environment, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Viet Nam. Lai has a Master in Business Administration from Washington State and Bachelors in Water Resource Management and in Law. He has more than 20 years of working experience in sustainable development. He has been leading the Climate Change and Environment (CC&E) programme of UNDP, CONSISTING OF CLIMATE CHANGE, green growth, energy, disaster risk management, natural resources and environment, marine plastics, and biodiversity conservation. He is deeply engaged in supporting the formulation and implementation of Viet Nam’s laws, strategies and plans in these subject areas. He joined THE Vietnamese Delegation at several climate change negotiation meetings (COPs) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
