Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh, born in 1962 in Da Nang. After graduating from university, majoring in Electrical Engineering in Czechoslovakia in 1986, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh joined the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT). In 1996, Assoc. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh successfully defended his doctoral thesis in the Czech Republic and was recognized as Associate Professor by the State Council for Professor Title, in 2004. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh focuses on research on power electronics, robotics and intelligent systems, electric drive control and control theory. He is currently holding the position of Rector of The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology since 2017.
The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology is the largest engineering and technology training university in the Central and Highlands regions and one of the three Polytechnic Universities of Vietnam. The university always clearly defines its mission and goals in line with its functions, tasks and resources, and at the same time is associated with the socio-economic development strategy of Da Nang city; central provinces, Highlands and the whole country. The school has promoted digital transformation in education, training content and methods to increasingly adapt to Industry 4.0. It also took advantage of many resources, focusing on investing in the formation of key laboratories to meet the requirements of the new situation. Scientific research activities and technology transfer of staff and students has made strong shifts, many highly practical topics associated with training and production activities contribute to the socio-economic development of the country as well as effectively support the improvement of graduated students’ knowledge and skills.
