Dr. Kabsung Kim
Dr. Kim is a professor at Yonsei University. He currently takes in charge of smart city strategy as chief advisor of the Korean Smart City Special committee under the Presidential Committee on the 4th Industrial Revolution, providing professional advices to President Jae-in Moon (Korean President) in his decision making related to smart city policies. He earned a Ph.D. in Regional Science at the University of Pennsylvania (USA) in 1995. He had worked at Samsung Economic Research Institute from 1995 to 2000. He had been a member of Urban Regeneration Special Committee under the Prime Minister during 2014-2017. He has participated in lots of private and public projects as a researcher and a committee member, and published many papers focused on housing policy, location theory, and spatial structure. He teaches housing policy, urban planning, Spatial analysis & location theory, economic feasibility study, and smart city at the department of Urban planning and Engineering, Yonsei University, Korea.
